N.O.S. Suntour VX shortcage RD
New in bag Suntour VX shortcage. I believe at one time this was an FD/RD set, but someone previously removed the FD. The RD and small bag containing the claw mount and associated hardware are still present. Bag has small cut in back where the FD was removed.
$50 shipped in the U.S.

I would want it if it was the nice medium cage size. Darn it.

Good news! While I can't afford a new bike, this is within my budget. (I can technically afford a new bike, but I'd have to dip into my 401(k), which I don't want to do. I'd have to pay a broker commission, plus capital gains, plus a penalty for early withdrawal, plus pay an income tax preparer to prepare a capital gains schedule for federal and state taxes. So you see, it quickly adds up. I'll re-assess my finances after I find out how much it costs to get my lawn tractor fixed.) I'm pretty sure I'm at that point where I'm about ready to pull the trigger on this classic derailleur. Still deciding though.

Opposite issue. I need to make a decision. I have a long-cage VX GT that's near-mint but need the VX front to match. I believe I have 2-3 suitable levers. I'd really prefer Cyclone GT long cage rear with matchd front and levers, but someone beat me to the bunch on a pair up for sale last month, despite the clamp crack.
It's been irking the hell out of me, one of the bikes I've been enjoying recently had the front mech and levers swapped for inferior-grade Huret models (yes, I just said that, but it's a UK bike, and deserves better Huret than what was employed). I think I have one of these VX in the bag as pictured. Your price is fair at 50 and $40 is a good deal for someone. If you find the matching front, gimme a holler
