Yeah, I'm sure the gps was not telling the whole truth but I can say I was so way beyond spunout, I try and pedal and it was simply laughable. No purchase.

Just picked this up (I'll get better pics later) from the bike shop today. 2013 Tarmac Comp with Boyd wheels. The upgraded wheels and 25mm tires made a substantial difference over stock just riding in the parking lot. I upgraded from a 2007 Fuji Team; can't wait to hit the mountains.

That saddle is hurting my eyes, what is going on there???
Upgrade! Put a new cassette and chain on that one, cleaned it up, sold it for too much, bought this for too little:
2006 Giant OCR Composite, hardly ridden by a very sweet elderly lady that claims 300 miles a year since '07, but I have a hard time believing it. Went from sora/105 to all 105, 8spd to 10spd, alu to carbon, threw in a set bag and pump that I'm not sure about. Also, not sure I want this adjustable stem. I have a bontrager that will work fine, likely swap that. Has mbt pedals, need to get some road pedals and shoes.
Took it up the local reservoir two days after I bought it: 22.4 mi, 1:41 hr, 1477 elev gain, avg 13.28 mph. Not huge for some but way harder road biking than I've ever done. Bike was sweet.
The OCR is billed as a bit more enduro than aero, and I'd agree, but with the bars slammed I didn't feel like I was losing anything, and Strava claims I broke 61 mph on a downhill. Felt like 100, was probably 50.

Honestly, there is really no fair comparison. The Fuji was bit too big, the wheels were R-500 and the components were seven year old 105. My Tarmac is the best road bike I have ever had. I had a Super Six that I really like before the Fuji that I had to sell in divorce. So the Fuji was really just a stepping stone to get back on the a horse. The Tarmac is lighter, rides better, accelerates bitter, handles much better and most importantly fits better. BTW, I fixed my seat since the above pic.

Im new to the site and i just picked up my first road bike. I went an got a new 2014 Trek 1.2 the bike fits me great and im able to ride right along people that have been in the sport for sometime now. Coming from a distance running background I think its helped. I have had the bike since Tuesday and have put on 126 miles since. I absolutely love this sport. Its really really big here where I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
This may be the wrong section for this but im not familiar on how this board works. so pardon me if i post in the wrong area.
Anyways, I have been looking into new wheels as I fell the rotating mass of the bontrager "approved" wheels are a little heavy.I am doing a 58 miler in Eureka springs in august and im wanting to have as much advantage in the cimbs as possible. Eveyone has said wheels wheels wheels with a low restance tire will be all i need for qiuite a while. Its a 9 spd cassete and im having issues figuring out what i can actually use.
any onfo would be much much appreciated! thanks in advance!

You should probably start your own thread and ask this. This particular thread is for posting what bike you have, a picture of it, etc.

I would have to say I'm a little better than amateur status, but I am a bicycle enthusiast. I have three road bikes.
A 2005 Specialized Allez Sport - really a fun and quick ride for those days I feel like Speed Racer.
A 2011 Specialized Sirrus Sport Hybrid - a frame similar to the Roubaix (but different enough) with flat bar handlebars.
Great, comfortable cruiser and still a road bike.
A 2011 Specialized Roubaix SL3 Expert (newly purchased) - it's like owning a Mercedes Sport Coupe.
I've lost 63 lbs bicycling - it's for health and recreation. I average 17mi-day @avg 15-18mph 7 days a week (weather permitting). Lots of wind in Reno. Not bad for an old geezer (68).
A day without riding is like a day without...

You deserve better than Specialized, trade those things in for one really nice bike!
Seriously, though, I think you're doing great (other than the brand allegiance thing)....

I am new to the forum, but I figured I would post this here. I just picked up this bike a couple of weeks ago. The retail on it is just under $4K, but I got it on special (brand new, but left over from 2013) for $2K, with pedals, some and some ods and ends for about $2K. It's a Scott Foil 30, full Carbon Fiber...everything, with SRAM Rival Gruppo.
So far, I LOVE this bike!
I LOVE this freaking seat!

Fuji Sportif 1.7 by Eat More Plants1, on Flickr
My Fuji Sportif 1.7C. It's my first new road bike, and I love it, and could ride it all day long if I had the chance. I had been looking for a "Show me your Shimano Tourney shifter/derailleur-equipped bike" thread but nothing turned up ;-)
