Nice Forecast this Weekend (1/26-27); Where You Riding?

Nice weather this weekend. Where you riding? I'll probably spend at least part of my rides on PCH between Oceanside and Torrey Pines. I'll be on my black dog chariot in the La Vie Claire shirt. Yell if you see me.

With her majesty...

ugh. just local san diego metro area. days off on mon/tues, the temps plummet back into the dreaded 60's after sunday.
on a positive note, hitting tucson super bowl sunday + the mon and tues afterwards and temps looking to be in the mid/
upper 70's there which is more to my liking. the old bones need warming...

Just finished riding in the cool morning air along the Santa Ana River Trail from PCH (Huntington Beach) to Angel Stadium and back this morning (26 miles). Friday morning rides along the SART are great - very little 'traffic', just a few utility vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, so a nice uneventful ride. Temp at the start was about 41F, quite nice if you're pushing it a little to generate some body heat.

Not sure about tomorrow, forecast calls for windy conditions, so I'll probably decide just before grabbing a bicycle and heading out the door. Sunday is Mozart's 263rd birthday, gotta figure out a tie-in for that (helps with the motivation).

Will be doing this cleanup event: https://la-bike.org/event/4th-annual...p-phil-gaimon/

Since the ride will not be challenging enough for a weekend ride, I will be doing the Hollywood Sign before the ride and across Griffith after brunch.

Not sure if I'll get out this weekend. I haven't been out in over a month. This time of year (when the temps drop) I usually go into hibernation. I admit it, I can't take low temps. I like riding in the sunshine. Whit that said... today does sound like it's going to shape up nicely. If I do, it will only be down to Seal Beach and back on the bike trail.

What a majestic day on the Highway! Was enjoying it too much to take pics, but here are a few when we got back. 53 miles of hood-ornamented bliss. One of the happiest days of my life. Love it when they ask me if it's a power-assist bike: No, no, but thank you for the kind compliment.
