Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bars are great. The flat tops are awesome to rest your hands on and the drops flare out just a bit making it really comfortable to ride in the drops for long periods of time. They are light but stiff. Just a heads up but the 44cm ergonovas measure 42.5cm at the hoods. If you ride the hoods a lot you might want to size up i normally use a 42cm bar but went with a 44cm ergonova.

New to me Proctor Townsend. It just happens to be my size and the price was right. Hate when that happens .

My new bike, got it off of craigslist for $900, and im so happy with it. it only weighs 15.5 pounds, perfect for a climber. Its mostly built up with sram red and bontrager xxx components. The brakes are limited edition speed limit bontrager, and the wheels are x-race lite

Zipps are on hand, as are the eebrakes. Am waiting for a 11-28 SRAM Red XG-1190 cassette to be delivered before putting all the new pieces together. Started reading about issues many are having with the Shimano CS-9000, figured it can't hurt to try something new...bonus that the SRAM 11-28 includes the 16 cog...

Thanks for the heads up, good timing I was planning to move the DA cassette to the rails and buy another cassette for the training wheels (ultegra), I'll take a look at the SRAM.
