Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I want to thank everyone for their help.

I decided to go with 105 for the whole compatability thing. I just placed an order through Ribble for everything except the brakes and front derailleur because they were out of stock. Ribble currently has an extra 5% off their current sale price if you piece the group together yourself instead of using their complet groupset packages. Everything that I was able to order came to $430 CAD shipped. As long as the brakes and front derailleur don't cost me $587 I've saved some money over buying locally

I vote for Microshift too. IMO, routing cables under the bar tape is all bad: More cable drag, the housing under the tap wear quicker due to the tight bends, and they more difficult/time-consuming to install and service.
