Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Opinions on Boyd carbon handlebar?

Didn't know they make handlebars too. 240g for $170, not bad, right? Has anyone tried them? https://www.boydcycling.com/carbon-handlebars/

I was looking at them a couple months ago. they look nice and boyd stands behind his products. The only reason I would see them to be something that isn't for you is if the drops aren't going to give you the proper angle. other than that, I'd say go for it.

Id like to get a set of his carbon cages soon.

240gms ins't anything special for carbon bars. A big advantage of carbon should be weight savings, and comfort. You can find many aluminum bars for 250-280gms for $60 by the big names.

If comfort is the issue, sure they will provide that and some aero advantage due to the shape and ergo design. Just depends on preference. Many people like matching cockpits, so stem/handlebars that match.

agreed that the weight savings is not much. the product description doesn't provide the drop or reach. i like the compact bars, these don't look like compact.

I need to provide the reach and drop for these and will do so when I get back from Vegas, unless I win that 12 million dollar jackpot, haha.

We don't put a ton of focus on the handlebars. They are really comfortable, especially when climbing. There are lighter options but these are also stiff. It's defiitely not anything we're going to put a huge effort into marketing, but I like them.
