Then how about something completely different?

"What's the best chain lube to use on my favorite kickstand?"

My favorite kickstand is the one that was on the bike when I bought it.

It's not just you. In this case, I believe the thread was started with the goal of starting a kickstand vs. non-kickstand fight. (Disk brakes would have been too trite.) Glad it didn't work.

I prefer the Conan method:

To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to use their bodies as a kickstand.

I have a 13 year old Trek 820 hardtail MTB at work in my office for lunchtime mental health rides. Fearing that the cleaning staff would knock it over at night, I installed a Greenfield rear mount kickstand. Works well and let's the bike roll forward or backwards without having the pedals interfere with the kickstand.

I take half hour rides through the backstreets of the small town where I work. It's the perfect bike for cracked pavement, cobblestone alleyways, and heaved concrete.

The best choice is a tree or a wall, the stone is OK. My last choice is a bottle or a helmet.
That's all right, fond of nothing particularly
