APB on a "fellow" biker

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The video seems to have been edited to exclude what preceded so we don't know what provoked this bad citizen. Whatever it was, the cyclist ended up looking like a jerk and this is a likely reflection of his personality. It's unnerving how volatile some folks are these days. I hope he turns himself in.

I’m sure whatever it was totally justified his assault on a child. 🙄

Doesn't really matter - he lays hand on someone's kid, he deserves a swift and thorough beat-down.

Or more likely, it took a few seconds for the filmer to realize "holy **** this ******* is going after my kid/ sister/ whatever and I need to bring up my phone and start recording". Not like most people start recording the instant someone approaches them, and if they did, you'd call that suspicious.

And again, when you're a large man on a bike, there's nothing that means you need to stop and grab at a young girl. It's not going to get better in any context.

Anyone scrolled through the "Post your Titaniums" thread yet? That bar tape color is pretty distinctive.

I saw that, but there's another guy that supposedly found someone with matching profile pic (helmet, bike, etc) and who has been in contact with authorities.

Part of his sentence should be at least a temporary ban from that trail, and make him pick up trash along it on the weekends, when he’d rather be out riding. Others could ride by and wave to him.

Looks like there's still some uncertainty. It's also all over the neighborhood listserv and I can't believe they're implicating people based their having Strava traces on one of the most popular stretches of MUP in the region. Hope all the wrong guys are spared the tar and feathers.

Fortunately, I'm skinny, my current helmet is mostly white, and I avoid the CCT like sin.

Well, yeah. That's why I refrained from naming names or linking links and said that it was unconfirmed. The most credible thing that I came across was similarly close to the vest, as opposed to those looking to point the mob in someone's direction.

Obviously there is an underlying political subject involved in this incident, but if you want this thread to continue here, let's not expand on it. I deleted some posts about politics.
