Danube river ride

My wife have done all of the sections between Passau, Germany and Vienna as well as sections around Budapest. Riding singles or our tandem. Verdict- flat, hot, crowded, boring, most popular route in Europe and probably one of the most popular in the world, loads of tourist style bike groups...just imagine your grandparents and 10 of their best friends riding bikes, fully loaded bikes stopping every few miles to eat and drink. Well designed routes, well maintained surface,
an abundance of lodging and eateries. Great wine, castles, outdoor dining, everyone is having fun...it's a scene , not to be missed but don't think it's getting away from the crowds...but that's all part of the fun...!!
