This is a thing of beauty. Couldn't find much out about the Blitz part, but perhaps TSX tubing, or something cheaper...not sure if this is a Ciocc version, but seems to be a proprietary headset. For the record, first thing I'd do is peel off the Columbus stickers...

Congratulations on the beautiful Concorde frameset if you by chance buy it or own it already!
I dunno, but it might just be me, but I feel a big sense of relief when I scroll down to see a late 80's and later C&V frame pic,....and IT HAS CURVED FORKED LEGS!

Nice paint and chrome ... but those graphics!? Who applied the decals to that frame, and what guide were they using (if any)?
Don't get me wrong, I love vintage Concorde frames, but I'm a bigger fan of the more "understated" ones that Team PDM rode in the '88 Tour.

Like I said, the Columbus ones would go, and I think the rest of the fun paint would be less busy as a result.
Still trying to figure out the year. There isn't an Italian flag braze on which I think was a '90s thing, so I wonder if it is still '88 or '89.

Something very odd, there are no cable guides on the bottom bracket and no screw hole to attach a plastic one underneath.
The price is very cheap for that frame,,I own 2 Concordes already so I, covered in that department.

I can't imagine buying that frame and altering the graphics and decals. That was just the period. Probably early to mid 90's? Squadra would be top of the line, but this one doesn't look Ciocc-ish. Seemed like a pretty fair price for such a cool frame!

It is sold apparently. Jdawg is happy...and sad...
Lack of bottom bracket braze on was one of the things that gave me pause...also the gaps in BB and HS, though facing would likely take care of that.

Oops.....
Imagine opening this thread out of curiosity and seeing the frame I just nabbed off Ebay. Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes.
I researched all of yesterday and couldn't find another like it to date it. By what I did find it seems like it must be around mid 90s.
Not too worried about the BB cable guide. There where some frames that used a snap in guide and I think that's what's going on here. I've even got a NOS one in my parts bin to try when I get it in.
The LBS that does most of my work is well versed on classic steel bikes. Their used to chasing threads, facing headsets, and even minor alignments so I was worried by anything I saw in the pics.
If the listed weight is with the headset and bottom bracket shown installed it should build up to a respectable weight.
I found this while looking for another yellow frameset for the collection. I am trying to downsize but...well....I was able to justify this. Sold my yellow Paramount and the beautiful yellow Vitus Argal I've been trying out just isn't my cup of tea. So I'm selling that locally too. That meant I needed another yellow bike, right? Plus I just picked up two pretty mint looking silver groupsets and need something to put them on. See how easy it is to support your N+1 addiction?
Really eager to get this and see what it's really made of and sorry again if I bumped anyone on this. I didn't realize it was a hot subject on here.

This is one version of a snap in BB cable guide. I'm sure I'll find something like this that will work on it. Figure to secure it better with a little 3M double-sided foam tape.
