That is a pretty sweet deal. That even beats Walmart at $299 with free shipping.
Don't know about the quality though, probably a good starter bike. I'd get something with more Watts if you're heavy or live in a hilly area.

This is definitely a good deal for an EZIP. But you get what you pay for! If you're looking for an entry level electric bike and don't expect it to last too long - an EZIP will be OK. But Currie's other brand of bikes (IZIP) are much higher quality and will last longer than an EZIP. You'll pay around $799 for an entry level IZIP, but it includes higher quality components and an ALL ALUMINUM FRAME. The EZIP uses a steel frame, which is definitely strong, but very heavy! The EZIP will weigh over 10 lbs more than the IZIP equivalent.
10 lbs is a lot of weight in "bike terms". Not only will it be harder to lift and move this bike around, it will be harder to pedal and the added weight will put additional stress on the motor and batteries. This makes the range of the EZIP slightly less than an IZIP, and you can expect less life out of an EZIP.

I agree. Crystalyte hub motors are great - I'd switch to something like that. Those will last forever...unless you jump it into a lake...don't ask.

Say bye bye to the $225 price on Amazon.com. It's now $300. Out with the old. In with the new. We'll see the 2009 model of the E-Zip shortly. BTW, I received my E-Zip yesterday, but I haven't put it together as we've been in a two week cold wave. Hopefully, early next week I can assemble it.

Oooooooofffff SALESMAN!
I have two questions.
1) Does this come with 1 or two batteries?
2) What's the best deal on the 2nd battery?
