Cleveland Area BF'ers meet n drink

Anyone up for a BF meet up in a weekend or two? Maybe at a sports bar somewhere for a few beers and dinner or if preferred we could do it here at my house and watch some bike movies or races ......
Thoughts?

The dinner and beers sounds good. If you would ever come out to Medina Co. to ride you could have already done that! Watching biking movies with a bunch of guys would creep out my wife more than learning our son shaves his legs.

I really have tried.... Between the weather and family schedules it just hasn't worked out but hopefully once the weather breaks Ill make it out to ride with you guys. Please keep me on the email list though!!

I was thinking for a meet up place that Winking Lizard in Peninsula would be good but maybe a little out of the way for many of the members...

Then again, your son does half iron mans at 25 mph.

Is a ride included with this get-together?

That's 24.56 mph. I thought it was the wheels.

I was thinking no, just a mid winter get together. We could plan a ride before hand for those who want to though then meet back at a restaurant afterward. All depends on the weather.

At this point in winter, I'm fair game for any conditions. I just had an interesting thought.....what if we were to have a trainer party at your house, as you have suggested before? I don't know how big your basement is....depending on how many people show up, not everyone may fit.....hmmm....just a thought.

I am always game for that. My only concern is that I am pretty far west from many of you guys. I was thinking about meeting somewhere more conviniant but my house would be fine by me....

Fatheads Microbrewery on rt.252 and Lorain rd. near the metroparks will be opening soon.
Might be a good choice in the future due to the fact you all seem to ride the park system.

I could be convinced. If it's beer and food, There is a winking Lizard on Rockside Rd in Independence, right off of I-77 and I-480.

If it's a trainer ride, well I can't be dropped.

I will be there too!

Hey Gary,

Great idea! Count me in if it is this weekend. Next, if Saturday only. We are going to the Monsters game next Sunday. The bar scene will be fine, as there probably isn't enough room in your area for a trainer party. If we go to a spot, we should at least wear a cycling jersey or something that says we have a common bond and goal other than just getting toasted. How many can you accomodate?

Would be nice, however, to do something athletic.

And Colleen, you coming is an inspiration to the rest of us whom hope to get married some day; and get a wife whom not only is cool, fun, intelligent, beautiful, saved, and a mother who doesn't look like she had 4,
but one who is a cyclist. Who could ask for more? Maybe we can talk our hope-to-be wives, girlfriends, mistresses, woman on the side,... into coming too!

Is this location doable for all? It seems pretty centrally located for everyone. Thoughts?

I'm in, and it's on my side of town. When?

You better call them though, sometimes they have groups there from the soccer teams. Can get pretty crowded.

Well, I can get into a Winking Lizard, so that's good. I'm game.

If it were at the Winking Lizard in Peninsula, I'd probably ride down and show you guys what my college education has provided me (an uncanny ability to drink )
