1" Mountain bike forks
Does anybody know of a quality mountain bike suspension fork for a steel 1" frame from the early 90's. I'd be willing to ride a rigid fork too if it is something light and good quality.

Are you asking for recommendations? Knowing what you are working on changes a lot, like required length and rake . A Marzocchi Bomber is probable the best fork in 1" in the time frame.

1" MTB suspension forks are a really tall order. Right around '93-'94 1-1/8" headtubes and suspension forks leapt onto the scene at about the same time. By '95-'96 everything was pretty much 1-1/8" AND threadless, so you're doubly screwed. Another consideration is that along with front suspensions came revised geometry to accomodate the bouncy forks. To change forks on any old MTB you need to know a lot more than just the headset size, you need to know if the frame is a suspension frame or not and what the prevailing suspension travel of the time was.
