Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

We have only one dealer in Texas that sells them. You will probably need to order one on the internet or make a road trip to buy one.
one.-I would look on EBay for a Catrike. that will save you some bucks that you can put towards the velomobile body.
appearance of the trike is not very important (chipped paint, faded paint, minor corrosion, etc) when you plan to add a velomobile body.

None in stock or can't find a dealer? There are supposedly 14 dealers within 200 miles of Atlanta but in stock units are definitely a rarity across the nation at the moment.

It took me about 1 minute to locate a list of 10 dealers within 200 miles using your home as a starting point at the Catrike website. Closest one is still 50 miles away- Chain Reaction in Evans, GA. It is a "concept store" so may not have much to offer. If you want to visit one of the stores with a decent stock it is a lot farther away. I ran into a similar problem so ordered from what is probably the largest Catrike dealer Utah Trikes. When I ordered mine in 2013 they told me they were selling about 30% of the Catrike factory output. Shipping is expensive but not paying sales tax just about covers the cost to ship the trike.

I know at least two Catrike dealers in Texas, the one in Austin and Pedal Guererro in San Antonio.
