Just "completed" my first 500 mile month!
The end of today's ride pushed me over the 500 mile in one month barrier. I only started riding again back in July after being away from biking for a couple decades.
Longest ride thus far has been 45 miles - a 60 miler planned for this Saturday. An 1100-1300 mile tour planned to begin in the first week of October.
This old Clyde's feeling his oats today. Go me! (wink)

Thanks guyz and gals.
I know 500 miles is less than many of you ride, especially those on long-distance tours. For me, 500 miles in a month is as much a psychological as a physical milestone. I'm coming off some knee, blood pressure and other problems. Being able to ride daily and know that my body's not going to fail is something that I haven't been able to enjoy for a while (ah sweet memories of youth long past). If I get lucky, I just might even get to leave the self-selected Club de Clyde!
Pics? Do you really want to have me break my camera taking pics? It looks so nice and pretty right now sitting fully functional in its camera bag on the shelf.

500 is a nice monthly number. Keep that up (or close to it) and you will achieve great things! Way to go!

I'll be doing some detailing of the tour, such as it may turn out to be, in the Touring sub-forum. The basics are New Orleans to Natchez to Nashville to Memphis to Baton Rouge/New Orleans.
