I am glad they were enjoyed. I think some real gems were hidden here.

Maybe this week I will try to scientifically test the butter vs bacon fat vs mayo grilled cheese.

@RubeRad Here is my puff pancake from Sunday. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1my...S2DzGhyK6puWTA Presentation could be improved but it tastes great; I usually serve it on a nice red platter and the apples don't always slide to the edges like that.

Did anyone not notice that they correctly spelled the word brake? Irony.

So is there a correct way to do "brake/break"?

Actually, since someone mentioned a "bike friendly" version, I've been wondering about making a similar project, and changing the spelling, one might be able to argue against trademark infringement (whether it was registered or not).

Slice apples.
In frying pan melt 1/3ish cup of butter

Stir. Add apple slices in a nice pattern when sugar butter begins to lightly brown. At this point I usually sit off the heat but leave the pan on the burner (I use electric so you may want to just lower gas heat and don't forget about it).

Beat well 3 or 4 eggs.
Add 1 cup milk
Add 2 teaspoons baking powder
Add 2 tablespoons sugar
Add 1 cup flour (I use a gluten free flour blend).

Mix well.
Add to hot pan.
Put in oven.
Cook 18 to 20 minutes.

This is my lazy breakfast.

To do a proper puff pancake separate the egg whites and omit the baking powder. Whip the eg whites and fold them into the batter just before baking.
Lazy? holy smokes, my "lazy" breakfast is a granola bar, or cereal with milk!

Yeah, some weekday mornings I feel like I'm running a short order kitchen. Oatmeal for the boy, scrambled eggs for the rest, plus the lunches and snacks, French press coffee for me, lattte for the wife, pack bags, if there is time I'll do a poached egg and toast for the side in lieu of scrambled eggs for the wife, and I usually squeeze emptying the dishwasher in there.

So it feels lazy.

Good thing I leave before everyone else in the morning, often before they even get up.

I have gotten used to it and I'm well organized. I am able do it all in just over an hour, this includes getting dressed and ready for the weather. We all leave together most days since it's easier (and cheaper) in one boat than using the ferry.

Cheap oven safe nonstick pans from here on out.
You're doing it wrong, something anyway. I have 3 different cast iron pans and love them all, but most of all the 10" pan that was my grandmother's, with a smooth cooking surface. I usually use peanut oil or butter during cooking, then clean it off with a stainless steel mesh (chain mail) scrubber and water, and wipe with a very thin coating of peanut oil before hanging back up on the wall.
