Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hmmm. That Project One reminds me of another thing - I hope that, like the Madone, they offer both SL and SLR versions that are the same other than the carbon/layup. IOW, same IsoSpeed for both frames, rather than the standard (SL) and adjustable (SLR).

-It’s not a Madone or Emonda.
-The color scheme matches already-launched 2020 Domane+ ebike.
CyclingTips put an article up early and then deleted it, but it still shows up in a Google search as do all the photos. Search for 2020 Trek Domane. I'd post them, but it won't let me because I'm new.

That color looks like Trek trying to be Specialized.

Not a bad thing. There's an article up on Granfondo-Cycling about all the new models, and some of the bikes are also now on the Trek AU website.

It looks like the SLR has non-adjustable IsoSpeed.

Based on what - the photos? It's often impossible to see the adjustment slider on the Madone SLRs from that angle, too, but we know it's there -

Yeah - adjustable. I have to assume that this is an SLR though, due to the Project One paint. Hopefully it's the same on the SL.

That's funny - they're using the space under the DT bottle holder as storage space. I guess that's better than letting it go to waste if, like me, you don't have an electronic groupset.

why wouldn't Di2 users be able to use this area for storage as well?

On the current models, that's where the battery and some other stuff goes. Or so I hear. I've never opened that hatch, but I think that it just opens up to the inside of the frame - no compartmentalization.

If they did, where would they store their Gummy Bears?

Mine is in the seat tube, but it's an older model.

from the Matos Velo post.

"The Domane inaugurates a clever storage system, called BITS. The latter takes place on the diagonal tube, under the fixing of the bottle cage. A small lift makes it easy to open the hatch (even if a bottle cage is fixed on it) in which there is a neoprene cover in which you can store CO2 cartridge + striker -or a mini pump-, an inner tube, a mini tool and two tire tools. For the mini tool, only the smallest Bontrager model can fit into the slot under the cover. "

It doesn't say anything about Di2 users being excluded from using this for storage.

I understand - I'm just telling you what they use the compartment for on the current model -

And it looks like the same story for the Madone - battery and junction box(?) in that compartment.

Bah. A number of reviews have been posted - only the SLR is going to have adjustable IsoSpeed. You'd think it'd be cheaper/easier to just use one type of mold, but they're going to continue to let that be a differentiating factor (along with the cf type).

That's awesome. Speaking of clean lines and everything, good bye saddle bag!

Not sure where you got that info. On Trek’s official site for the 2020 Domane redesign it says it accommodates up to 38c tires in a couple of places.
