Vintage Cannondale restore and upgrade
Hey guys and gals,
I built a Cannondale just like this back in the day when Cannondale bikes first came out. I took a first generation frame and had it painted green by Weiler cycle works. Then I put full campagnolo on it just for fun. I regretted selling that bike! So I decided to recreate it. Let me know what youall think.

Since you asked:
Change the RD cable housing whip to wound stainless.
Shorten the rear brake cable housing. Having it go forward before it loops back towards the bars is awkward looking.
De-sticker the rims, and/or maybe switch to low flange hubs. High flange hubs look terrific, just not sure on this bike.
Oh, and I'd ride the wheels off that thing. The color really makes the components shine, and a Brooks saddle tops it all off. It's hard to go wrong with Campy SR.

That's quite lovely.
I'd also re-route the brake cables (behind the bars, front goes in front of rear) and shorten them up by several inches.
Really nice job!

I forgot this is Bike forums. When you ask for opinion youll get it..LOL... Yes, I know many of you are about putting the cables behind the bars and such. Not this guy! I want them out of the way. Been doing that all my life. Thanks for the suggestions however.
Happy Biking

Just watched some with my four year old. I asked him what he was going to collect and he said "blue and purple bikes." Haha. You have an awesome collection.

Good part is, it's almost always constructive.
I'm on the fence. I've done what you do here and I've had people here snicker or judge me on it, but that's before I managed to get a few of the stem-width clips. Those are a happy median from days of yore that's really good compromise. The two-cable binder/holder that installs around the top of the stem to pinch the cables tight and out of the way.
Old-school ones in clear https://www.ebay.com/itm/401521733464 and in black https://www.ebay.com/itm/223555474497
Modern variation straight from china: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FMXX3HW/ or maybe even https://www.ebay.com/itm/362141577122
Motorcycle vintage style: https://www.ebay.com/itm/173842036410
Interesting twist which may work?: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007M09VAG
I saw some really cool stainless fabricated ones on eBay a while back out of Europe, but can't seem to locate.
I've been hunting for a pack of the top ones in black that are stem width or at least 10-12mm apart, but haven't managed to find any. I have three or four I covet and tuck away when not on a rider.
Here's a really piss-poor example on a bike whose rear cable housing was at least 6-8" too long, but the clip still managed to keep the cables closer to stem center.
