I found this Raleigh bike on CL today for 35$. The lady doesnt know what Raleigh it is. It has 502 tubing thats all she knows. Can somebody help me ID the bike? And is it worth the 35? Thanks.

Mid 1980's Huffy era Raleigh Grand Prix or Marathon built in Japan or Taiwan. Probably chrome rims. Worth the asking price IMHO.

Looks like a 56cm frame, for someone 5'7"-5'10". I would not make a 200 mile round trip soley for a low end bike.

+1 On it being a good value and a early 80's Raliegh Bicycle Company of America aka Huffy Grand Prix. These sell for about $125-150 in excellent ready to ride condition with good rubber. This one is worth $75 give or take if it has no major issues. So might not be worth it if you have to go several hours out of your way to get it.

If it was in my neighborhood I might pick it up, but I agree with the others, I would not drive 200 miles for this bike at any price, even free.
