Great P-Handle Hex Wrench Set size 2-10

I'm looking for a better set of p handle wrenches than park tools ball ITEM # PH-1.2

Looking for something better than the plastic handles, anyone know another manufacturer/model. Nothing against these or park tool I'm just concerned looking at these plastic handles.

These are better - you'll need both:

Short end

They're a bit pricey... $896.74 for both sets. Better hurry... only one set left! LoL!

Worse yet, that $660 hex set is in SAE sizes so, after paying that absurd price, you will find they don't fit your bike's bolts.

skullhead,
Try the Silca web site, or even look to Lowe's, Home Depot, for the set you need. Smiles

This is on the level of park tools but priced accordingly.

Just MHO, but I'd rather have Park quality than Harbor Freight. And when I really need to lean on a wrench to deal with a corroded fastener, my delicate, white collar hands surely do appreciate the plastic handle!

I have a set of the Harbor Freight ones at home, but use the Park ones when I volunteer at the bike coop. No difference in performance as far as I can determine. Both fit socket heads tightly and seem to be tempered properly. Sixty bucks extra for blue handles?

If I wanted to improve the Park Tool wrench set, I'd color code the handles. Then I'd add a set of combination end wrenches in the same colors.

Of course, nobody here has any idea what the OP is concerned about.

[Solution: stop looking at them.]

Uhhh, slight misquote on the price there unless Walmart has changed. https://www.amazon.com/83341-Wrench-.../dp/B0006SDTEU

Are you looking specifically for a p-handle? Every set I have ever seen has a plastic handle.

Do you want a set of t-handles? Sliding T? I have a full set of Beta sliding t-handles and they are great, but you have to pay the price (they are an Italian brand).
https://www.amazon.com/Beta-951-S6-T...dp/B00FI17CS4/

Anything from Bondhus, Beta, Wera, or Wiha will be better than Park or Harbor Freight. I am pretty sure that the Silca set is rebranded Beta.

I have two sets of these Craftsman metric wrenches. The 7 piece set ranges from 2.5 to 10mm. The older set is probably 10 years old, made in USA and has seen heavy use. Still going strong, with very little wear on the tips. The newer set is going on 3 years with occasional use as a backup. Made in China, and it shows. 5 and 6mm short tips both have significant wear and are starting to loose their ability to torque properly on anything but clean, deep socket heads. Too bad.

I've had numerous sets of low/mid level, big box store, hex-wrenches and they are all pretty much the same...junk. The tolerances aren't tight enough, and they end up deforming the bolts.

I'm using Wera now, https://www.kctoolco.com/wera-073593...-key-clip-set/ and they are fantastic. While I do (slightly) miss T-handles, the quality more than makes up for it. And the color-coded sleeves makes them easy to identify
I then have Wera hex-sockets that I can use on my torque wrench, or to throw on a separate T-handle, if needed.
