Hey I'm new to Forums

I'm "new" to the Forums... well I joined a while ago but never got around to posting. A little about me... been wrenching on bikes since I was 7 years old, which was a while ago, love anything vintage (mid '90's and older) or brand-new, build up my own bikes and wheels, and at the most owned 9 bikes, but am back down to 3... trying to get to 2 once I sell my "old" MTB. I love engineering stuff... especially when bike shops tell me "it won't work", like mixing Campy/Shimano or road on MTB etc. My current "thing" is riding my kids around on the back of the tandem...

Welcome back. We could use your knowledge in several forums, it appears, like mechanics, C&V, tandems, family, etc. Post away!

Let me guess, a Seattle native that resides in San Diego now?

Welcome! Yes, you can always mix up groupsets! Anything will cooperate if you can forgo indexing and rely on pure friction shifting!
