Mine is on order for March delivery. I'm told that size M (my size) in this bike is already sold out in NA for the year. LBS says not to worry -- mine is reserved and will be part of their main spring delivery from Specialized. They'd better be right, or badger

I purchased the FX 3 Disc in Jan, got four short rides then the weather became too cold for the latter half of the month. Feb was much better I decided I need a wider tire on the stock wheels. Ended up replacing with Bontrager LT2 38's tubeless and my goal was to start riding some trails. Liking it so far.

Hi! Nice bike! I just bought this bike too but don't have it yet, is in special order............ How much clearance do you have in the fork now that you have 38mm tires? do you think the Bontrager NCS Fenders will still fit with 38mm tires?

This Giant Escape 2 has been my daily commuter for the past 6 years. It has handled the mean streets of NYC with aplomb. I do long weekend rides too, but this Summer I plan on doing an epic cross country trip from NY to Cali. Switched out the 32 spoke wheel in the back for a beefier 36 to handle loaded panniers. Put on some schalbe marathon tires, added a topeak rack, and I am good to go.

2018 Roam 3. Have 500 kilomoters on the Jones Bars, they look a bit silly but have made two hour rides possible. Need to work on the seat for longer times in the saddle.

Rapid Fire shifter/brake assembly just fits the Jones bar. Quite comfortable operation on the right side, the front shifter on the left bar side needs more thumb movement and the fit on the bar works fine, but not much room for positioning the gear selecltor. Trimming the grip a bit would solve that. Bells are legal requirement and help hikers hear you coming on trails
Overkill ? Comfy though

Hi, I’m new... this thread is actually how I discovered this forum in the first place; googling hybrids in general! So I reckon it’s appropriate to drop a post here. While I do own a Red Trek FX 7.6... it’s probably more interesting to share my homebrew flatbar. It’s comprised of a mix of Di2, Ultegra, XTR, Force1 in a 1x11 configuration and is the first bike I built myself, I use it for urban commuting:

I came close to buying a Jones bar recently. In the end I cheaped out and got an Origin8 batwing bar. I'll use it through the summer, but I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a good deal on a used Jones over the Winter.Did you have to rework your cables in order to fit the new bar?

@finch204; My bike thanks you for the compliment. I had some arguably more positionally appropriate composite BBB Barends before, but they proved a bit fragile and I managed to crack one of them. These are mostly a temp install as I had them lying around. I have a fairly wide reach as the cockpit may indicate - so they wouldn’t serve me well in an inner position - I also use it primarily for urban riding - so steering a lot more than resting. I’m very open to recommendations for ergonomic carbon barends- these work ok for now - but are indeed not perfect for an outer position.

Do these qualify as hybrids.? Well they certainly aren't your typical road bike..... I took the picture on our Withlacoochee ride today in Inverness Fl. They were just meeting up for a group ride and I grabbed a photo. They passed us like we were standing still a while later. Oh well.

I think the Specialized S-Works Carbon Overendz Bar Ends (https://www.specialized.com/us/en/s-...219857-132438a) would look good on your bike.
