Just hit the 57 mark. Cheers Tony
Had this since 1973 updated it twice.....
Then I swapped the components to this to see if I liked it... i do and it’s going to get those briftery things on it this spring... lol
And this one is now the chill bike. Street tires and just comfy to ride. Picked it up in late 1989

2014 Townie
This old guy rides an 2014 Electra Townie 7D. I replaced the original 44 tooth chain ring with a 32 tooth narrow wide, run Schwalbe marathon tires in the summer and Nokian studded snows in the winter months. Bought this bike in July 2014 and probably have 7,000+ miles on it. I try to ride everyday, weather permitting,I'll be 69 in January.

Bought myself a Surly Cross Check for Christmas. Was outta town, got out for the first real ride today. Got tourist bars coming, don’t get on well with the mountain bike bend

Still Riding my '85 Atala
While I don't ride as much anymore, this is the bike I use when I do. Still rides great. To be honest, I have never ridden the newer (90's at up) models so I don't have much to compare to. At some point I will buy a newer bike, but I don't ride enough to make it worth while. Also, I'm emotionally attached to this bike since I put it together myself in the mid-80's.

A local riding buddy had ridden it before and encouraged me to ride it with him. Our wives went with us and I think it was in 2009? Unfortunately it was my wedding anniversary but the wife signed off on it. It was a little cooler than normal day which worked perfectly for me. I was targeting trying to average 20 mph for the day. I hung with the first group for the first hour and I think we covered just under 30 miles???? I was afraid I was using too much effort so backed off some. I finished 49th out of 1100 riders in 7 hr 24 mins and averaged 21.7 mph. Probably one of my best 1 day efforts on the bike thanks to the great start. I had ridden a lot of mountain centuries before that so riding a flattish Ride was quite the relief.

3,862 miles this year.
10,339 since I got it at the end of 2016.
It’s not the fastest bike, but it’s good for me!

I haven’t done any bike packing with it. The racks are great because I’m the guy that carries tools and tubes with me. It was a lesson I learned riding down in the Keys a few months after the hurricane hit! . Nothing like getting multiple flats nearly every ride.
Two of the better places I had to repair flats. At least there was shade!

Big John, I guess I should have added about 70% of my riding is on trails that look like this
As far as true off roading, I’m still a little hesitant. Back in 2012 I could barely walk, talk or see due to Lyme. I’m not overly anxious to get back among the ticks. And to think I used to do a lot of backpacking!

Well if 63 counts as old here is mine, it is a brand (XDS) made for sale in Australia only. Aluminium frame, carbon forks, Alivio drive train. Weighs quite a bit and sold here a a commuter style bike.
The camera used to take the pic is not quite as old as the rider; Nikon F2, Fomapan 200 B&W film, developed in Fomadon R09 and scanned on EPSON V600.

I was 117th place out of 1300 in 2016, was race age 60 then. I have more experience now with how to do these types of rides, so think I can shave 30 minutes off unless there's a head wind. Weather certainly influences the results heavily. I signed up for it last year but didn't go because the forecast was for rain (oddly appropriate) all day, and it did. I didn't feel like eating spray off tires for 8 hours, just not that important for me.

Well this 69 year old rides the following:
These 2001 Mongoose Pro Triomphes were purchased for our 30 anniversary back when we lived in Maine and worked for a living. Still have them and use during the summer on our annual RV trip to the north east and Atlantic Canada. This pic was taken on the top of the Parkman Mtn trail in Acadia National Park last summer.
My wife's 2015 Giant FastRoad CoMax 1 just after upgrading it this fall. Mine is somewhere there as well. They were our current rail trail bikes. But with the purchase of the Roadlites are now the back up, bad weather and travel bikes (living off the back of the RV).
This is one of the new Canyon RoadLite CF 9.0 Ltd bikes that our are rail trail / good weather ones. This pic was taken on today's (1/1/19) ride in Inverness Fl on the Withlacoochee trail. I have a thread in the hybrid forum about their arrival. https://www.bikeforums.net/hybrid-bi...roadlites.html

Just picked up a rare early 80's Nishiki Maxima. I'll be changing components out during recovery from my surgery next week. Excited to see how this Italian made frame rides.
As it was when I picked it up Tuesday.
Trying a different crankset
