Just won an ebay auction for a new-in-box Spin Doctor Pro G3 work stand...$84

Edit: When it's too good to be true...it usually is. Fleabay cancelled the listing, AFTER the auction completed, after I was the winning bidder, after they sent me a "pay the seller" email and after I paid for the item.

I've seen this happening a lot anymore. Especially with "Bike Shops" on ebay. There is one I've been watching out of south Florida. They keep listing the same items over and over and I see where people are complaining they won and the seller canceled and refunded the money, then the item is re-posted. I think it is a case of they felt they didn't get enough on the auction, so they cancel and re-post until they do.

I don't use ebay very much anymore, I'm beginning to remember why now. That auction for that work stand came up while I was searching/researching the various offerings available.

Biketiresdirect.com took my order for a Feedback Sports work stand, I'm thinking that order will be completed. With all the cold, windy rainy days we've had with a stand at least I can clean the bike up.

New saddle day.

ERGON SMA3 in Lazer Lemon. Perfect match to the fluoro on my Roam 1.

Very supportive and better curvature overall, quite comfy.

Been a busy day. Sold my Schwinn Searcher Sport, started putting my Scott Sportster P5 back together and stripped the stuff I want to keep off my K2 Escape in preparation for selling it as well. I'll finish the Scott and K2 tomorrow and possibly finish my Miele hybrid. The Miele will replace the Schwinn and another old Schwinn I had built as a gravel bike, the Scott is replacing the K2.

Some of you may know that my Trek FXS6 kinda turned into a Domane S with flat bars, not sure if it is a “hybrid” ? Now it may not be even so. I swapped out the 700/28 Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires back to the original Bontrager AW2’s, 700/25’s, the Schwalbe’s were getting worn.

Flat bars on a road bike = a hybrid! How many miles on those marathons to start showing were?

The rear tire is almost smooth after 4000 miles, they held up pretty well, and no flats ! I decided to go with lighter tires to shed some weigh since it’s now just my daily fitness bike. I couldn’t believe how heavy the Schwalbes were.

Bath day. Washed the bike, scrubbed the drivetrain and applied chain wax. Had to test the new repair stand.

Made my Giant CoMax 1 into an 11 speed.... Over the weekend the front 2 speed Shimano shift lever broke. So while I wait for a replacement part I had to take off the front 105 derailleur had to be taken off the bike to at least have the 58t crank wheel. Let that be a lesson to those that don't use all the gears. Mine broke because of lack or use. Oh well who needs a 22 speed bike in Florida anyway.

ERGON GE1 grips in Laser Lemon. Nice and sticky.

And better yet now locked in , don't slip around like the OEM. Time will tell if i'll miss the paddle shape, but so far has nice cushion and flared ends feel ergonomic to the grip.

Very nice colour matching, one of the best examples I have seen.

Fashioned a chain catcher of sorts... Had too many chain drops (6 in one ride) after having replaced the 26T granny with the 24T one. Adjusted the FD lower limit screw, but there wasn't much play, so added this. A peice of rigid wire (looks like aluminum, but feels much stiffer) attached behind one of the bottle cages. Zero drops on today's ride without being extra careful. So I guess mission accomplished.
