Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Beautiful! Is that lower door rust? I had a 1990 Land Cruiser that I bought with 65,000 miles on it, drove it until it had 300,000 miles and never put a thing but rotors/pads/oil/filters into it. NEVER should have sold it. Good luck with the rebuild.

It's not surprising to see that you have several pictures of yourself in your "workspace"

It is ROCK SOLID.
That is genius. Great idea with the board attached to the legs. Does it rock back and forth ever or are the legs strong enough you don't get much swaying of your tools?

Nope...I bought the frame for a very good deal on Ebay from the Bethlehem, PA police department. It spent 15 hard years as a patrol bike, the guy who rode it was 250lbs, plus 50 pounds of gear. I figured if 300 pounds didn't break it, my 185lbs would do just fine...

When I first built it the tool board was bolted to the back (obviously) but the top of the bench and the bottom shelf ewre not. At that point, if I was working on the vice, there would be a little movement. Since then I have bolted both pieces down and nothing moves under any conditions I've subjected it to so far.

This works for me and I like the flexibility I have so that I can move things around as my business dictates.

Putting together a fleet of bikes for the HS team with donated parts coming in. All my bikes used to fit and it was all organized... honest it was!

I knew I had a desk in there somewhere... inspired because I had to move my truing stand to where I could sit as I often can't spend as much time on my feet without experiencing excruciating pain and then there are days when sitting is also difficult.

Good on you for helping out new riders.

Maybe there are some BF members local to you that have some parts they could donate to the project?

thanks
I got a bunch of stuff donated from socaltrailriders.org members (seen on the floor) and I think I'll be posting something up soon, I'm just not used to asking for help from folks, always trying to do it all myself. I need to just do it for their sake though.
