Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Whatever I had at the start of 2020 I did the same thing... kept trying to run and kept getting worse.

Padding is in the palms. Snack opening happens with the fingertips. Conclusion: No.

What if they need to be padded thickly enough to overcome bit fit issues? I'm thinking that one might have a hard time touching fingertip to thumb tip.

May need to stick with the Saturn type SL.

But I am willing to look at other options.

If they're that thick, then yeah. Snacks might be an issue. Pre-tear/cut and use your teeth to finish the job, maybe?

Too hot for me to ride it, but can already tell will need a shorter stem and a zero set back post. Stems 120 I need a 110 all I have is a 105. Sigh.
