Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What? Are you not familiar with Campy? The flat spots on the hoods are supposed to be parallel to the ground. Mine are tilted up about 1 or 2 degrees from that.

no, the bottom of the lever is supposed to be horizontal with the bottom of the bar.
the bottom of my bar is horizontal to the ground which makes my shifters a fair bit lower than yours.

if i had them there, i would have to stretch my thumb up to shift in the drops.

here's a couple of pictures:

Well, its comfortable for me. I would actually say your shifters are at a strange angle. I have never seen a bike set up like that.

+1. There's no "supposed-to-be-like-that" when it comes with fit.

Sweet bikes posted so far.

That blue and white Schwinn is such a classic look. So simple and beautiful - very nice.

It's too dark and looks too wierd to use the garage door.
Since new:
American Classis seatpost (soon to be replaced by WCS)
Ritchey WCS 140mm stem
Sakae Custom bars (soon to be replaced by WCS classic bend's)
Michelin Pro2 Race 23's
Shimano Flightdeck that needs to be soldered due to a pinch in right wire
Fizik Arione saddle red/silver
Fizik bar tape (Matching red)

A question: Once I get my it, can I post my track frame here without being persecuted?

After a lot of research and thought I went with it. I'm happy in the decision. The only thing that is troublesome with a mirror on the bar end position and not on the helmet is that visibility when there is people behind you makes it limited...whereas with a helmet mount you can still see. I figure that's ok since I only want to look back when I'm alone or at the back of a group. Can still turn the head too...no substitution for that. Also, not a fan of helmet mirrors.
