Nice. He was avoiding that tree. On one hand, hitting that tree would of a caused a much worse pile up.

It looked to me that the driver did not have to swerve to miss the tree, of course things on video look differently than in real life.

Wow! If the driver DID have to swerve maybe they should have sped up so as to not hit any of the riders in the event they were covering. Just a thought.

Hitting the brakes would have likely resulted in no collision at all.

I had an STR(Share The Road) incident today. I was 'taking the lane', when a local company vehicle came within less than a foot of my left leg. I chased the vehicle to their job site, got the phone number of the company along with the vehicle's #. The driver made some nasty remark and I told him he would find out what I had to say about it later on.

I left a message with his supervisor and, talked with one of the company's officers'(CAO, CEO, CFO, CIO, CMO, COO, CTO). Neither one of the people I talked to were aware of the traffic code pertaining to cyclists(what a surprise). I am going to double-check tomorrow, to make sure they didn't blow me off.
