Bontrager XXX Saddle on 2019 Emonda
Bought a used XXX saddle and it doesn’t fit with the stock clamps. The seller included clamps, but they don’t fit the emonda seat post. Suggestions?

Is your Emonda using the seat mast cap/clamp with the side clamping "ears"? If so, and the saddle had ovalized rails, you just need to order the appropriate ones from Trek - they should have both 9mm and 10mm.

yes, it has the seat mast cap/clamp. The stock ones are for round rails. The xxx saddle has oval ones. Trek has oval 7x10 ear clamps, but they don’t match up with the plastic part in the seat post.

Carbon rails are larger than metal ones.

Check with Trek - they probably have different clamps. The conical part of your clamp looks the same as what I had (Ride Tuned seat mast cap), but the ears that you have/were given do not look like the ears that I had/ordered from Trek - they didn't protrude inwards at the bottom like that.

I would think so, but you should double-check. Look at the rails of the saddle - they're often marked. Look at the ears supplied by the seller - they're often marked, too. Failing both of those, do a search for the saddle model and year.

I've switched back and forth between Bontrager saddles with carbon and titanium rails a bunch of times on a variety of Trek road bikes. Don't know about these days, but Trek dealers have always had the part in the past.

Hi rclouviere, I would be interested in buying those clamps from you if you still have them and didn't use them? I am looking for the round (from the side as opposed to the triangular) trek side ear clamps (oval for the seat rails), and it appears that may be what you have but couldn't use?
