Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was talking about just frames, not entire bikes.

Nice catch, I love the Ped .

They were literally my local bike store for a while (by proximity) but I still go back there for all bricks/mortar purchases, despite it being a 20-25min drive from home and longer from work. I love that they are low key and super low pressure - I've lost count of the number of times I've been in there and they've given me free advice (sometimes free stuff) and talked me out of stuff I don't need. The CAAD10 was the second bike I'd bought from them and I'd love to buy another. The stealth look and constant presence of at least two lazy labs/retrievers just adds to the ambience.

still waiting on my LBS to get their CAAD10s in stock. They have a full size run on order, but other than that, have no real idea when they will get them in stock. It would be possible for me to special order one, and possibly get it faster, but I'm hoping to test ride both a 58 and a 60 to see which one fits better...

and so I wait...

I have the 1996 CAAD3 M500 (pic in sig below) its a mountain bike racer as i like to call it. People still walk over to the bike and admire it on our group rides. Its a solid Hard Tail that rides like a road racer on roads.

Its fast! and reliable and refuses to break!

I'm lovin' the shape, but the welds aren't as clean as the American made frames.

CAAD10 owners, do you notice the same with your frames in comparison to the C9's?
Or could this just be a few bad apples that are photographed?

Clean welds do not equal good welds

Okay, but I'm not questioning whether their good or not.
What I'm questioning is the craftsmanship of the builders.

Well, prices went up for CAADs instead of going down while their labor costs plummeted.

Know what that means?

Just joined - my first post!

The wife and I picked up a pair of 2010 CAAD9's. I got the 9-5 with the 105 setup. Only have about 60 miles on it, but so far I'm impressed with how fast it is! Now I just need to find a more comfortable saddle.

Finally got the RS10's replaced with the RS20's and my Schwalbe Ultremo R1's put on. Rides much smoother. The RS20's were a warranty related swap for the '10s so I didn't pay any for them. I'll upgrade to a nicer wheelset when $$$ allows.

My CAAD10

The CAAD10 replaced my titanium recently retired by a Camry. The only thing I kept was frame, fork, headset, cone spacer, seat post and clamp, and the nice bar end plugs.

I have to wait for my broken wrist to heal before I can ride and provide feedback.
