1976 Fuji Sports 10

Hey folks, while cleaning out my parent-in-law's homestead and garage recently, I found this Fuji Sports 10 bicycle wrapped in blankets and sheltered under a folded carpet.

I was immediately impressed by how little corrosion or wear there is on the bike...

The pedals, shifters, diamond-pattern seat, are all original and in remarkable shape for a bicycle almost as old as I am. The tires were cracked and rotted, so I spent some money to have new Bontrager tires put on it and give it a well-deserved tune-up.

I was hoping one of my college-aged kids would appreciate it as the vintage classic it is, but it's been hanging in my garage since then.

I've attached a .pdf with some photos, including the serial #, etc.

Would be very curious to know a rough assessment of its value.

Thanks!

Very clean. Lower end bike of that Fuji era that has been converted from road bike to townie bike. $125-150.

Fuji Sports 10 were one of the earliest mass produced Japanese bikes to arrive in the USA in the early 70's. They had remarkably lightweight & durable high tensile steel frames. Their only big drawback was the klunky heavy bolt on chrome steel wheels and riveted chrome steel chain rings. As - is with the original wheels you could probably get $150 or so. Slap some brand new Weinmann LP18 wheels on it & wow...........move on up to the $250 - $275 price range. Keep going with replacement alloy crankset, pedals, new seat, etc, etc, etc, and (you'll never break even) you might get $350 for it. Be good. Have fun.

I sold the same bike back in November last year for $120. It got a basic tune up and had it's original drop bars and steel wheels.

It's a very pretty color in person.
