Re the year, no idea. I'm just familiar with the models like mine and the dual colour scheme ones that a guy put up a photo of here.
I probably never put more than 45lbs of load on mine, so really you're going to have to try it and compare it to the lht.

not insignificant is the gearing compared to the lht also, will be a lot harder going up hills with the Kuwa

also your rack is very much canted back and will put the weight further back, with more potential for wagging going on.
