Is charging a Giant energypak for only 30 minutes bad for the battery?

I started using my giant eroad pro for commuting to school and love it, but I'm running out of charge about 3-5 miles from my house on my way back. The problem is, is i only have a just under 1 hour from the time i arrive on campus and have to go to class(where i don't have a place to charge the battery), so I only have about 30 minutes to charge it, after i let it cool down. Is charging for this short of time(it's about 40 percent when i get to school), going to be bad for the battery? The battery is not hot to the touch, but after a 40 minute ride, does it even need to cool down before i plug it into the Giant smart charger?

The 30 minute charge should be plenty to get home, i'm just wondering if it'll be hard on the battery
Thanks

no problem, plug it in and charge it. if you are on a campus I would try and get away with charging in the class room. assuming there is room you can probably get away with it.

Rechargeable lithium batteries have many advantages over previous rechargeable batteries. One is that a partial discharge does not harm them at all, and in fact, they prefer that to full discharges. Partial charges are also harmless.

I was under the impression that the battery should sit for a little while before being recharged. Please correct if I am wrong.

If you are going to college see if you can find a professor or somebody else that works there. You may be able to use their office to recharge your battery for longer times. I wished more people rode bikes at the school I work at.
