Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

5 pairs of cycling shoes isn't that outrageous. Stuff tends to accumulate over time.

I've got a pair of Rocket 7's. Then a cheap pair of Shimano tri shoes I bough to use when the Rocket7s were being adjusted. Then a pair of Lake CX401's when I thought the Rocket 7's were going to be toast (but ended up getting fixed)

And a pair of diadoras set up with old style cleats for the track bike with toe clips. So I'm just one short.

You can buy heat mold-able inserts for Sidis, yes? Just curious, I'm really looking forward to them, want to make sure they "glove" my foot.

They have been so comfortable ( and very cheap) that when the same guy offered me a chance to get into his deal again this year I picked up two pair of Ergos 2's. At a price that was frankly silly cheap.

I had picked up the Energy 2's and Dragons in the interim. Most of them are in the cupboard and I truly " never have to buy another pair of shoes as long as I live"
Ah right, inside deals. Cool

Neither would I. Would be a ***** finding wheels strong enough for an 1,100lb rider.

(Not my pic, credit goes to a poster at another forum I frequent)

That might be encouraging for us single pair owners, being that she's just one miracle shy of canonization.

Some of us work our asses off but don't make enough money to be able to afford even one good pair of shoes. Just hope you realize how lucky you are.

I might, sadly, be up there with the 'worst', but I've since cut right back
