Interesting vintage bike book
Hi all:
This is a book that many of you may already be familiar with. I just recommended it in a different thread to someone who just acquired a Guerciotti, but it should be of interest to any vintage bike enthusiast. Contains some technical info on Campy tools, bike fitting, chain lines, etc., but what's really cool are the profiles of many British, French, Italian and American frame builders including Cinelli, Guerciotti, Schwinn (Paramount), Jack Taylor, Mercian and many others. The profiles describe the builder's history, design philosophy and frame construction techniques.
It's out of print, but can found very cheaply here (and no doubt elsewhere):

It's a good book. I've had a copy for 15 years or so. The details on the different makes of bikes are really fun to read and review.
While a physical copy is nice to have, a pdf copy is available on the Classic Rendezvous site, along with a list of other books of interest to vintage bike nerds..
Articles, web sites and miscellany about vintage lightweight bicyclesClassic
