Campagnolo wheelset #1: High Flange, Pre-CPSC, Silver Ambrosio Rims
Up for sale is a very nice pair of classic Campagnolo wheels. Freewheel, clincher, 126OLD rear, 100 front. High flange Record hubs, pre-CPSC, correct 'straight lever' skewers, Ambrosio 19 Super Elite Extra Durex rims. In great shape, run true and smooth. Cloth rim tape. Little grimy but require only some attention with soap/cleaner & a toothbrush to be truly beautiful. Brake tracks show little wear.
$199 plus shipping (usually about $35 within the USA).

Spent little more time and attention on these, did a toothbrush cleaning and serviced the front hub. Was asked how hard it was to mount a tire, as apparently these have e reputation for being difficult. When I got them they had Armadillos mounted, which came off without too much trouble. This morning I pulled a Vittoria Rubino ProIII out of the closet and mounted it by hand (no levers). So, there's that. And these currently have cloth rim tape, so if you're trying to mount something particularly gnarly, switch to Kapton tape for a little more squidge room.

I made a mistake on passing on the last set of campy hub wheels that Doc sold. I like these wheels but I'm not sure if I have a use for them . . .

I have rims stocked up so there's that, but don't build wheels so should probably get these, very nice.
Still waiting to see how bad Xmas was on the $$$.

Yep, these are 36 spoke wheels.
If I were going to keep them, I think I'd eventually replace one of the front cones.
Italian threading.
