bigger chainring = how many chain links?

So on this bike I have a 45t ring with a 17t cog (SS conversion) and I'm using a half-link. Almost perfect chain tension. I wanna increase chainring size. What's the math agin? Adding how many teeth up front equals how many chain links?

I believe every tooth corresponds to half a link.
