Fun thread! A lot of good stuff on here. Here's my go-to ride. I LOVE this bike!!! It comes alive on passes (up and down). It's truly all the best of classic and new (Centaur 10 gruppo, Proton wheelset, Chorus carbon seatpost, Fly saddle). Should we play guess the frameset? (couple hints if you look closely)

My 1991 Waterford Paramount. I added RSX brifters after I tried some Shimano barcons and didn't like them. I love the brifters on this bike. Drivetrain is all tricolor 600.

The fork is a generic chrome fork, something that I found in a LBS. It looks a lot nicer than the unicrown that came with it... Headset is Dura Ace

Careful using them for large frames - washer slot is cut thin enough to bust when a stem is not sufficently long enough to reach the unthreaded portion (this one was from Hawley, no manufacturer's stamping):
This said, I did not have any problems with one of the Pyramid-distributed forks when cut short to fit my '85 Super Course:

i really like the more sloping crown on your fork. it seems to follow the lines of the bike a bit better than the stock unit. if i come across one i'll grab it.

Thanks.... I recently sold my CAAD4 frame, and migrated all the 2006/7 Centaur 10spd parts over to the Miyata, along with the Reynolds Ouzo Pro, which doesn't clash nearly as badly as I thought it would. In fact, it looks pretty nice. She is now blacker than black (similar to RobbieTunes Centurion above), and though it's heresy, I have to say I prefer both the Ouzo Pro and the Italian drive train on my Japanese bike.

Its a '92 (could be 91) R400. Bike was free from a friend & also my first road bike in about 15 years...
How it looked when I recieved it:
Made some changes including the downtube shifters to Campy Chorus 8spd & rear der (Circa '96) (also free!)
The 8spd work great with the 7 in the back (frame can't be spread for more spacing).
Its a '92 (could be 91) R400. Bike was free from a friend & also my first road bike in about 15 years...
