My new build !!
So I decided it was time to treat myself and build a pretty nice fixed gear bike to rip around the streets with.. here is the order I placed with State Bicycle Co yesterday:
Frame: State Bicycle Co Undefeated
Fork: State Bicycle Co Carbon – Gold Limited Edition
Headset: FSA Orbit 1.5 ZS
Crank: FSA Carbon Track ISIS 49t
Saddle: Fi'zi:k Arione Antares 00
Wheelset: Rolf Prima Vigor FX Wheels
Bars: FSA SL-K Compact Drop
Bar Stem: FSA SL-K Black
Seat Post: FSA SL-K SB20 SBS
Cage: Essor 3k Carbon & Seat Post Mount
Chain: KMC
Tires: GatorSkin
Pedals: Look Keo Plus
.. then of course the small stuff .. bar tape, spacers, tubes, etc, but nothing special there. Pretty excited about this bike and it should be really fun to ride! They gave me a 2 week lead time so now its just waiting that remains, haha.

Curious, why did you go with that fork rather than the one they sell with the frame when you buy it as a set?

Bravo for the balls to get Rolf wheels. I think they look bad ass, but ppl seem to uniformly hate them in my experience. I also think heavy boat anchor 42mm deep wheels like the Origin8/Weinmanns I have on mine look badass, despite the fact that I know better. I just love the look of paired-spoke wheels, what can I say (i'm old and out of touch, maybe).

Looks like you're really going to town on this. Have fun!
Genuine query ie, not trying to be negative, why did you go for the State? I could be wrong but I understood them to be more a budget item.
Have fun. I too enjoy a decent build thread.

Europa, I concur on the assessment of the frame versus the other components just based on how State themselves price-point it. That said, I have been trying to "bling" out (in my own peculiar way) my Kilo and now have components i'd move to basically any frame, to the point that the next move for me will probably be a new frame. I think it's OK to source nice components and later upgrade the frame, but I also agree it's sort of a "backward" way to do it. In my case, I could afford nice parts now and again (on a 400 dollar bike) rather than buy a 900 dollar frameset and chip away at building it. Maybe the OP feels the same way?

Why the Gatorskins ? I would go with 25mm GP 4000 and live with a few flats, they are quite a bit faster IMO. Lokking forward to seeing the finished bike !
