Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hes a tougher bugger than you would think for 80 years old.
Congrats.
My dad had a quadruple bypass at 82, and then lived another ten years. Leukemia took him out.

Mine had his quad 15 years ago. Couple heart atacks before that, after the quad his carotid arteries clogged up. He got a couple stents 5 years ago or so. Somewhere in there he had a run with heart failure from a med he was on.. He has diabetes, he had cancer in his left side salivary gland. Surgery and chemo.. And a couple strokes. He's a tough cookie but a very mild man.

Barring an act of god, two weeks from now I will be pin free. I wonder if they'll let me keep it as a souvenir

Ha! The Master Carpenter that used pocket screws? I mitered the top because it would have bothered me, otherwise, but I wasn't gettin' too fancy. I was thinking about some trim at the corners and to break up the sides, but the wife is happy as-is and I have a lot of other stuff to do, so very back-burner.

Tripped onto concrete when running, about two months ago. It was literally the weekend the pandemic was declared, so I never went to get checked out. Now there's a crease which is new, not symmetrical, and definitely not a roll.

I’m beat. Rode this morning, cut my yard and my parents yard. Put mulch down, power washed the house. Washed both vehicular devices. Wife refurbished our fire pit and our out door furniture. According to my fitbit I have walked 12 miles, feels a lot more than that.
Gunna try for 50 miles tomorrow if I am able to wake up.

When you all went to purchase a new saddle, how did that experience play out? Did you already know what you needed? Did your LBS help you figure out what would work best for you? I’m hopeful that I will be able to make the one that came with the C2 work, but it is not looking to hot at the moment.

Mine is not in much better shape. I tried to pump our tire up but I think the tube passed away many years ago. The axle is also extremely loose with no visible means of tightening it. As long as I don’t put anything in it, it continues to roll.

Did you try to figure out the right width? I tried measuring yesterday, I may do again to see if correct.

Whyfi sent me an article that stated LBS may have foam to measure my bum shape. I havnt made it that far yet in the process, didn’t know if that was a common thing to do.

I know what my torso looks like at different weights, and I'm relatively light right now (170.4). The crease also runs at an angle that crosses the crease when I bend and a bulge appears there. And it's exactly where I took the hardest part of the hit.

I also know the "roll" comments are funny, but seriously trust me, this isn't a crease that occurs at any weight between 160 and 240, and looks subjectively different from those.
