"Bob Parlee, who founded the company in Peabody in 2000, was one of the first to use carbon fiber to make bike frames"??? What the hell? By 2000 there had already been a bunch of carbon frames, Carlton, Look, Kestrel, Assos, Graftek, Calfee...just to name a few.
Glad they kept the staff on, that is good news for them. As for Parlee as a company I am also slightly in the "meh" category but more companies producing carbon bikes and working on the material and hopefully improving it further is a good thing.

The one I rode years back was fantastic.
Several years newer than my Calfee, the Parlee seemed stiffer and lighter. But I did not have them side by side.

Parlee was just a boutique brand.

The carbon bike buying public has spoken once. My guess is Parlee and the angel are going to get the same answer as last time.

Yeah, but in the mean time, a few jobs are saved, the industry gets a story, and a guy with too much money gets a toy and a tax deduction, so where's the harm, happens quite a bit actually.

Parlee as a brand has never interested me.
The frames look straight up fugly with that nose bump at the front end of the top tube.
Their Asia built Chebacco gravel frame is $3100 for the frame, fork, bar, stem, and post. I get that there are a lot of other contract built carbon gravel frames sold by boutique brands which are also in the $3100 range, but that doesnt change the fact that it seems goofy expensive in this instance.
Maybe new funding and stability will bring more appealing products?
I wont hold my breath.

Even that stuff was pretty new. It is a amazing they couldn't do basic research on old carbon. Even saying Cadex was an early brand would have made more sense than Parlee.
