Maybe that's a carbon frame. If it is, "breaks" is appropriate.

If by European you mean the UK, yes they spell it tyre. In the rest of Europe they use words like Reifen, pneumatika, pneu, dekk, the few I'm familiar with.

I thought the official NASCAR spelling was "tahrs". And that they are analyzed by their "gription".

I have nothing against the "drive fast, turn left" crowd. I even got a few laps on one of their vehidromes earlier this year.



(you mean they're not called "vehidromes"? But it fits so well...)
