So, on this mornings hammerfest, I found myself thinking of this thread.
Here's a reminder to the Noobs and Freds: when the pace is ramping up for the designated sprint do not - i repeat DO NOT - ride past several riders to the front, then promptly blow up.
It's dangerous, and it makes you look stupid. Good thing I didn't have enough breath to waste on yelling at that bozo.

*RANT ON* So much more a night person, that I occasionally consider just staying up all night to do the 5:30 insanity that people go for. WTH? if you are going so early you need lights, why not just go late???*RANT OFF*

I hate it when elitist cyclists won't speak to you at the beginning of a ride, then start yelling and pulling on your jersey. It makes me want to throw my SPD sandals at them.

I have read it and was prepared for the worst! when someone touched my back, I thought for sure he was going to pull my jersey and say something mean to me, turned out he was just trying to give me a gentle push up the hill to help!

True story: I know a Cat 2 rider who yelled at Frankie Andreu for pulling out of the line and leaving a gap in front of him.
Frankie reached back, offered a hand sling. The guy took it. Gap closed.
Yell. It usually gets the job done.

I haven't yelled at anyone yet in anger. Maybe one day I will have the opportunity.
In a cycling event - I might add.
