Nutty for Wing Nuts

Still cold here and still mostly locked down, so going a little nutty..... so show us your wing nuts!

Here’s what Motobecane used on the lower end bikes:

And here is a classic version of the Huret Luxe that came on tons of Peugeot’s and other French bikes (these ones are on a LeJeune):

And finally these are some English (Phillips I believe) I am using on my 30s CCM....

Phillips on a late 50's Raleigh. Some rather rare CCM wingnuts from the 50's, some others and some NOS GB nut's on a '50 alloy SA FM.

One of yours? I have the same hub. I think I need to pair my front hub with an SA 3 speed on an old British club bike like my 1958 Claud Butler Jubilee. But then I'd need to track down a Williams crank or something suitably cottered and British, .

When I was in 5th grade, I learned that wheelies and wingnuts don't mix. Still love the way they look.

The one on the right is a 2020 Pacific Cycles Black Krate modded with a new rear rim, spokes, and an old SA 3-speed IGH.

Yep. Bought them from a guy in Canada who got them from Amir Avitzur. he machines the flanges, then rivets them to vintages hubs. It's an old method for high flange hubs - rather than turn a big chunk of aluminum on a lathe, the flanges can be made from sheet stock.
