Hello from Colorado

Hi All...I'm a lifelong cyclist having lived in Colorado since 1979. I've recently have taken up ultra-cycling. I'm 64 years old and currently training for Race Across the West this June and Race Across America in June 2022.

Welcome to BF! I'm sure you'll be a source of wisdom in the 50+ and the Long Distance forums. There are a handful of CO folks who are regulars around here (I'm down in Castle Pines). Enjoy!

Before Fall of 2018 my long rides were 100-125 miles. Now they’re races of 400-500 miles and longer. RAW is 930 miles. RAAM is 3,050+ miles.

For "short" 200km - 400km randonneuring rides, check out the Rocky Mountain Cycling Club (https://www.rockymountaincyclingclub.com/), if you haven't already, though I'm sure you have. And good luck on RAAM!!!, it was a dream of mine until chronic knee pain set in.

Are there a lot of 400+ mile races in the U.S.?
