Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Any Raleigh One Way fans out there?

Just picked this up from an auction. A 2010 Raleigh One Way in pretty awesome condition. Fun little cruiser for around the neighborhood. Any following for these out there?

They are decent bikes. Nice saddle, fenders, lots of options for racks, etc. What's not to like?

Are the rear stays being protected with that tape, or what's going on there. I guess that is to prevent damage due to rubbing on stuff?

I think they put it on there just to cover the mounting bosses. No real reason to wrap it, just put a couple of bolts in there. Component wise it is pretty cool. Plenty of quality there.

I used to have one and enjoyed it quite a bit as a grocery getter. Loved the classic look with the modern geometry and components.

It turns out single-speed isn't really for me though, so now I'm basically looking for a geared equivalent.
