Enclosures, Umbrellas, Canopies etc. for Bikes
This is a topic that I do not see discussed much on the internet.
I'm interested in different way to surround my bike - plastic bubbles, roofs, etc. I kind of want to find out my options.
Any suggestions where to start? Replies, links to other threads, links to other people are all starts. Anything helpful is a start.
This is kind of about waterproofing but it's kind of not. I also would like the idea to kind of just be in a bubble when I choose.

Might be something some talk about in this sub-forum.... Alt Bike Culture
I couldn't imagine most of what you are asking about for a common bike as any wind gusts seems would be more dangerous than they already are. But maybe low riders, bent's and other special bikes can handle that better.

On a bike, your best protection is going to be protective clothing (rainsuits.) And they're not perfect either. I agree with 10 wheels - for best protection, get a velomobile. Be prepared for sticker shock, though.

One of the guys who volunteers at the charity shop where I work has a fully-enclosed recumbant. He usually rides it with the cover off, because otherwise it gets too steamy inside.
