Nice. Is that Vixen on a Losmandy, or the Celestron mount built by Losmandy (can't recall the model offhand)?

Back to your question the Losmandy mount and C11 scope is a "Celestron CG-11 system". But AFAIK the mount mechanical parts are 100% interchangeable with the more common Losmandy G-11 mount. I have replaced a stepper motor, RA axis worm gear, and electronic control board with standard G-11 parts without an issue.

I own almost an equal amount of bicycles and scopes, and I can't observe or ride for another almost 5 weeks because of this in my big tow:
Broke it on New Year's eve waited over 3 weeks hoping it would go away!
Actually I can't do anything today because it is raining hard anyway!
Rare occurrence these last few years!

Looks like a really nice OTA. I had a Tele Vue Genesis years ago (also a Petzval design) and loved it. I just didn't use it enough to justify keeping it. Usually the 14.5" Telekit gets taken out instead.

Beautiful Vixen refractor Dave, must be a real pleasure to observe the planets and of course Jupiter right now.

Just curious - you seem to be astro-knowledgeable. What kind(s) of scopes/bino's/etc do you use?
BTW, there is a place near Chester, Ca. (up towards Mt. Lassen) called "Drakesbad Ranch". It is a very rustic place (very rustic) catering to horseback riding and hiking. But back in the 90's they had this open field with a clear view of the sky. It is very dark and a great place to go for an astro vacation. But I haven't been there since the late 90's. Note that I lived in Livermore from 1995 through 2000.

Nice telescope. I've always been very interested in amateur astronomy. Just couldn't afford two "expensive" hobbies.

Here I am at age 62 on Carter LeBeau Day of RAGBRAI last summer, the socks being the traditional fashion statement of the day's namesake.
I have a collection of Celestron (mostly) telescopes myself, there is never enough room for one in the RAGBRAI support vehicle! I might be able to find room for a bass guitar however and while I am NOT one of the guys in the picture below I did catch their "act" at one of the RAGBRAI pass through towns last year and am tempted to try to hook up with them and see if they need a bass player this year ....

That is UGLY.Typically a broken toe is just a 'be careful and wait for it to heal'. But i guess not in all cases.

I also belong to Mount Diablo Astronomical Society Home Page
I go in August to Glacier Point (Yosemite) at 7,000 feet with unbelievable views and very dark skies!
I have a 6 inch Celestron refractor and a 10 inch Mead SCT.
The big toe unfortunately can't be taped to the next one, besides it is an unusual break and dislocation apparently, March 12 the pins will be removed--I have to be so careful not to bang it against anything--did it yesterday and it really hurts! At least the ankle will not get stiff unlike a cast!

VNA, FWIW one of my scopes is a fork mounted Meade SCT (8 inch). On a pure design/aperture/optics quality perspective it is my best scope.
Clear skies.

Here's a better pic. Fun machine (2014 Vortritek 900R all aluminum).
I've lost 73 lbs (18 of those twice) cycling (and better diet). Yeah, Chunk Monkey, a few more to go. I put a few lbs back on during rehab from the broken pelvis and DVT in the legs. It goes on a lot easier than it comes off.
2015 (Feb 10): 342 Miles—26 Days—38 hrs ♂
