Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anyone know of a good deal on Assos bibs?

Subject says it all - hoping to find a magical off-season clearance sale for these puppies somewhere.

Preferably a sale on the less expensive ones. Those $350 jobbies are too expensive for me, even at most likely sale prices.

I got a pair of the F1 Unos at ribble a few weeks ago, $138. Free shipping to usa.

Was the best price I could find at the time. There was a coupon code that got 10% off, not sure they still have the promotion.

Checked Wiggle a couple of days ago - didnt seem to be on sale. Although their normal price is still quite good. I dont really NEED another pair of bibs, but if I get a really good deal, wouldnt mind trying out Assos bibs as well. The CC sale was 40% off regular price and another 25% off that, so came to $75 or so, and I'm hoping that as the season draws to an end, I'll be able to get my paws on these bibs at a significant discount somewhere.

So everyone says. I just got a bunch of Voler, Giordana and Gore bibs over the past few months, and have done a century in the Giordanas - no chafing, no need to apply taint cream, etc. I'm curious if Assos is indeed better. And I have to say, their designs are really great. If they werent so stratospherically priced, I'd be in Assos kit 7 days a week purely on the aesthetics.
