if any of you like want like a totally awesome upgrade, dudes.

The Dahon Neos 7 speed dérailleur will operate satisfactorily with a Shimano Deore MTB trigger shifter if you wish to upgrade from twiddle-shifting to trigger shifting.

Similarly, I found that the Alivio SL-M410 trigger shifter works perfectly with the 8-speed dérailleur of the Speed P8 or Mu P8, other than the "1" and "8" indicators being reversed. This 10-minute upgrade allowed me to install full-size Ergon grips without having to cut down the right-hand grip.
The Alivio shifter I used can be found on Amazon for under $30:
https://www.amazon.com/Shimano-SL-M41...0191870&sr=1-1 (This includes a left shifter you won't need, but may be cheaper than buying the right shifter alone.)
